Summary
Beyond Borders: Cormac McCarthy's All the Pretty Horses is the third volume in the Cormac McCarthy Society's series of casebook studies. Many of the essays in this volume were selected from among the presentations at the Society's celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of All the Pretty Horses at Berea College in Kentucky in October 2012. Beyond Borders contains a rich selection of perspectives on the novel, its characters and its historical background by an international assembly of scholars and critics. Series editor Rick Wallach previously edited Myth, Legend, Dust: Critical Responses to Cormac McCarthy and (with Wade Hall) Sacred violence, a two-volume collection of critical essays, as well as numerous articles and reviews about McCarthy, William Faulkner, Patrick White, Charles Brockden Brown, the history of Jazz and other subjects
