Christopher Hitch immigrated with his family from England to Maryland, then to Virginia, to the Appalachian mountains, the Shenandoah Valley and to eastern Tennessee. One descendant, Henry Charles Hitch (1884-1921) married Christine Arena Walker in 1910, and homesteaded in Texas, County in the Oklahoma Panhandle
