Summary
The story centers around a man named Charlie Baker, who works for an Atlanta based science fiction publication as a writer and sometime photographer. His dad owns the publication, but because he doesn't like him he gets all the crummy assignments. His latest is to visit a traveling circus in Lubbock, Texas to check out the sideshow claim that a woman there can turn into a she-wolf just by thinking about sex. Charlie leaves the office and goes home to his wife to find out she's leaving him. He's devastated and ends up going on a road trip with his friend Froggy, who leaves him at a lodge of a friend for a few days. Charlies has said he doesn't want to talk to anyone, so he's introduced to a strange cast of characters as a foreigner. What ensues is a comical adventure revolving around a mystery of what is really taking place at this lodge
