Summary
Barry Lintton watches Tom, his burly henchmen, stroll into the saloon at Holy Creek without much interest. He was looking for excitement and action but this lonely town in the ranch country seemed just as quiet as all the others. Suddenly Tom came out backwards - so suddenly that he sprawled in the dust, one hand clutching a rapidly swelling jaw! Barry smiled and, then and there, decided that Holy Creek was exactly the place he was seeking. And he was not disappointed. An old bitter feud over the possession of a certain notorious longhorn steer was just reopening with a vigor that shook the whole town. The Morgan and Chaney outfits were at it again with this steer as an excuse for the battle that would settle once and for all which would control the Valley - and Barry's oldest rival was on the spot -- Book jacket
